About Arianna

from Rome with Love

It's all about photography

Hi, I’m Arianna and I live in Rome.

I’ve been fascinated by the magic of photography ever since I was a little girl – cameras were among the first gifts I ever asked for!
After years of teaching myself, I realized how much there was still to learn, so I decided to get serious and took a few courses to refine my skills.

Now I understand that while technique and composition are important, great photos often have something extra – something that can’t be captured through skill alone. My most successful images are born when I truly let myself be swept away by the scene, the people, and the atmosphere I’m shooting, beyond lighting conditions or any particular approach.

I fell in love with street photography because the thrill of hunting for one-of-a-kind, fleeting moments lets me tap into my more instinctive side, and it brings me real joy. Wandering the streets, wearing down my shoes, makes me genuinely happy! I’m especially drawn to chaotic, vibrant situations like parades, protests, carnivals, and religious festivals.

In recent years, I’ve had some wonderful successes, becoming a finalist in several national and international competitions (Brussels Street Photography Festival, the Dublin Street Photography Festival, Moment Street Photo Awards, and others festival in Pisa, Livorno, and Rome), and some of my photos have been featured in books and publications.

My background is in anthropology, and I love exploring new places, meeting different people and cultures, and immersing myself fully in what I’m witnessing. I hope that those who look at my work can feel something similar. My dream is to combine photography with cultural exploration, and I get closer to that dream every time I pack my bags and head off to discover something new.
